Haddi Gang Busted, Gold Snatchers Nabbed in Tricity Crackdown

Chandigarh Police have dealt a significant blow to criminal activity in the tricity with two separate operations. On August 5, 2025, members of the notorious “Haddi gang,” known for robberies and vehicle thefts, were apprehended.

A substantial recovery of stolen goods followed the arrests. Police investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the gang’s activities.

In a separate operation on the same day, police arrested two snatchers, one a repeat offender. Stolen gold jewellery was recovered.

The arrested snatchers confessed to a series of crimes across Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula.

These arrests underscore the Chandigarh Police’s commitment to maintaining law and order. The successful operations should offer some reassurance to residents increasingly concerned about rising petty crime in the region.
