Pickleball Power Play: IPA Slams Rival Association

The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), the sole National Sports Federation (NSF) recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has issued a scathing rebuke of the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA). The IPA’s statement, released Wednesday, August 6, 2025, strongly condemns AIPA’s actions.

The IPA accuses AIPA of persistent disregard for the Ministry’s decision. This includes continued operation despite the official recognition granted to the IPA.

The statement further alleges that AIPA is engaged in misleading activities and unauthorised operations. These actions, the IPA claims, potentially violate Indian law.

The IPA’s decisive action underscores the growing tensions within the burgeoning Indian pickleball scene. This conflict threatens to undermine the sport’s development and its potential for national and international recognition.
