Temple Fire Inferno: 15 Injured in Barnewala Tragedy
A devastating fire ripped through a hall at the Shree Hanuman Mandir in Barnewala on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, leaving fifteen people injured. Seven of the injured were women.
Six individuals suffered severe burns, estimated at 70-80% of their bodies. These victims were immediately rushed to the Government Medical College in Faridkot for emergency treatment.
The remaining nine injured received treatment for less severe burns and smoke inhalation at local medical facilities.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Authorities are examining various possibilities, including electrical short-circuiting and accidental ignition.
