Tragic Shimla Car Plunge Claims Three Lives
Three young men lost their lives, and one was critically injured, when their car veered off the Rohru-Chirgaon road and plunged into the Pabbar river in Shimla district on August 6, 2025.
The deceased have been identified as Vishal Thakur, Abhay Khandiyan, and Himanshu Dulla. Harsh Chauhan sustained serious injuries in the accident.
Preliminary investigations suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the fatal accident. Police are currently probing the exact cause of the mishap.
The incident has once again highlighted the need for improved road safety measures, particularly on winding mountain roads in Himachal Pradesh. Authorities must address the concerns of treacherous stretches and inadequate infrastructure to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
