Abohar NGO Rebuilds Hopes, One Home at a Time

The Mera Abohar Free Legal Service, spearheaded by Advocate Amit Asija, has completed yet another heartwarming project. A house, reduced to rubble, has been resurrected for an elderly couple in Abohar, Punjab.

This latest initiative brings the NGO’s total to 19 homes rebuilt for families facing dire circumstances. The organisation not only provides crucial legal aid but also extends a helping hand to vulnerable communities hit by natural disasters.

Each family receives a basic, one-room dwelling, offering a much-needed refuge and a renewed sense of security. The NGO’s dedication highlights the critical role of civil society in disaster relief and community empowerment.

This selfless work underscores the growing need for such initiatives across India, particularly in rural areas prone to natural calamities and lacking adequate support systems. The model of integrated legal aid and disaster relief offers a potent approach to tackling societal vulnerabilities.
