Green Thumbs & Clean Streets: Sector 31’s Japanese Garden Gets a Makeover
A major cleanliness drive revitalized the Japanese Garden in Sector 31 today. The initiative, part of the ongoing ‘Safai Apnao Bimaari Bhagao’ campaign, saw enthusiastic participation from residents and local social groups.
The Municipal Corporation (MC) spearheaded the event, which included a thorough cleaning of the garden and a significant tree plantation drive. Area Councillor Anju Katyal led the participants in taking a pledge for maintaining cleanliness.
MC Commissioner Amit Kumar stressed the crucial role of public cooperation in effective waste management. He highlighted the need for responsible disposal habits to ensure a healthier environment.
The success of this initiative underscores the power of community engagement in urban beautification. It serves as a model for other localities striving to improve their green spaces and public health. The ongoing need for citizen participation in maintaining this newly revitalised area remains paramount.
