Heroin Bust in Himachal: Three Inter-State Peddlers Nabbed
Rohru police in Shimla achieved a significant breakthrough in their fight against drug trafficking on August 6, 2025. Three inter-state drug peddlers were apprehended following a tip-off.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Rohit Kumar, Vishal Dutta, and Deepika. Police seized 16.77 grams of heroin, commonly known as “chitta,” from their possession.
A thorough investigation has been launched under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This operation underscores the ongoing battle against the insidious spread of narcotics in the state.
The arrest of these three individuals, allegedly part of a larger inter-state network, highlights the crucial need for strengthened vigilance and inter-state cooperation to curb the drug menace. The successful operation serves as a warning to those involved in the illegal drug trade operating within Himachal Pradesh.
