Rahul Singh, a 1996-batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre, has been granted a two-year extension as Chairperson of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The decision was announced on August 9, 2025.
His initial appointment to the post was on March 13, 2024.
