Dairy Crackdown: Karnal Corp Seals Four, Seizes Six Cows
The Karnal Municipal Corporation took stringent action against four errant dairies on Friday, August 8, 2025, sealing them down for non-compliance with relocation orders. The dairies had repeatedly ignored warnings to shift to the designated Pingli dairy complex.
Six animals were seized from the sealed premises. Owners will have to pay a hefty Rs 50,000 fine for the release of their cattle.
This action, carried out under the provisions of the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, is part of a larger initiative to improve urban hygiene and sanitation in Karnal.
Thirty-five dairies have already successfully relocated to the Pingli complex. The corporation has reiterated its commitment to enforcing these regulations.
This decisive move underscores the administration’s resolve to maintain cleanliness and public health standards, a crucial aspect of urban development in Haryana. The hefty fine serves as a strong deterrent against future violations.
