Green Signal for Faster, Greener RRTS: DB & Wurth Partner for Depot Upgrades
DB RRTS Operations India Pvt. Ltd., a Deutsche Bahn International Operations (DB IO) subsidiary, has joined hands with Wurth Industrial Services India. This collaboration aims to revolutionise depot maintenance for the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS).
The partnership focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and environmental sustainability of India’s first semi-high-speed RRTS corridor, a project spearheaded by the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC).
This upgrade is crucial for ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of the Namo Bharat corridor. Improved maintenance practices will directly translate to better service for commuters.
The initiative signifies a significant step towards adopting global best practices in India’s rapidly expanding rapid transit sector. This collaboration sets a benchmark for future infrastructure projects prioritising both speed and sustainability.
This partnership’s success could influence similar upgrades across India’s burgeoning metro and RRTS networks, impacting millions of daily commuters and contributing significantly to a greener public transport system.
