Rohtak DC Cracks Whip: FIR Threat for Road Mishap Neglect
Rohtak Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Gupta, issued a stern warning on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to concerned departments. Failure to address road safety concerns will result in the filing of First Information Reports (FIRs).
The DC’s directive mandates immediate action on several critical issues. This includes the urgent repair of potholes, the installation of adequate signboards, and the resolution of persistent waterlogging problems across the district.
Furthermore, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been instructed to maintain open toll lanes. They must also provide necessary concessions and clearly display lists of eligible villages for toll exemptions.
This decisive action follows a series of road accidents in the region, highlighting the urgent need for improved infrastructure and safety measures. The DC’s strong stance underscores the administration’s commitment to public safety and accountability. The impact of this directive will be keenly observed, especially considering the upcoming festive season and the increased vehicular traffic expected.
