Punjab University Shines in NIRF 2025 Rankings

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 rankings were released on September 4, 2025, revealing a strong showing by several Indian institutions. Panjab University secured a commendable third position in the Pharmacy category and among State Public Universities.

AIIMS New Delhi continued its dominance, claiming the top spot in the Medical category. Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, followed closely in second place.

NIPER-Mohali also performed admirably, securing a place within the top 10 institutions nationally. This achievement underscores the institute’s commitment to pharmaceutical education and research.

These rankings highlight the growing excellence of Indian educational institutions, particularly in specialized fields like medicine and pharmacy. The strong performance of Punjab University and NIPER-Mohali reflects the potential of institutions outside of the major metropolitan centres. This success should encourage further investment and development in these crucial sectors.
