Top Cops Busted: Bribery Scandal Rocks Delhi’s Hari Nagar Station
Delhi Police’s Vigilance Unit has launched an investigation into a major bribery scandal involving officers from the Hari Nagar Police Station. Two separate cases have been registered, alleging corrupt practices by three officers.
Sub-Inspector Vijeta Gautam, Constable Sanjay, and Head Constable Rakesh Kumar stand accused of demanding a combined bribe of Rs 2.35 lakhs. The officers allegedly threatened complainants with false implication in exchange for favourable treatment in ongoing investigations.
The accusations include leveraging their positions to extort money from citizens seeking assistance with police matters. The exact nature of the investigations in which the bribes were demanded is currently under scrutiny.
