Nepali Man’s SIM Card Sting: ISI Spy Network Busted in Delhi

Delhi Police have arrested Prabhat Kumar, a Nepali national, for allegedly supplying Indian SIM cards to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Kumar, lured by financial promises, misused his Aadhaar card to procure multiple SIM cards.

These SIM cards were subsequently sent to Nepal, where they were reportedly used in espionage activities targeting vital Indian installations.

The investigation reveals a sophisticated operation aimed at gathering intelligence on the Indian Army and Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Police are currently investigating the extent of the network and its reach.

The arrest underscores the vulnerability of India’s national security to such insidious threats. The ease with which Kumar obtained SIM cards highlights the urgent need for stricter regulations and improved security measures to prevent future breaches. This case serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing challenges in safeguarding sensitive information and national interests.
