Shimla Law School Ignites Trial Advocacy with BNSS Focus
The Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, launched its Trial Advocacy Competition on Friday, September 12, 2025, with a unique twist. A crucial workshop on FIR filing under the new BNSS law preceded the competition.
The session, expertly led by DSP Dushyant Sarpal, provided invaluable practical insights. The focus was on the intricacies of drafting and registering FIRs effectively.
This initiative aims to equip law students with essential courtroom skills. The competition bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world legal practice.
The emphasis on the BNSS law highlights the university’s commitment to contemporary legal issues. This practical approach will better prepare future lawyers to navigate the complexities of the Indian justice system. The skills gained will be directly applicable to their future careers, ensuring a smoother transition from academia to practice.
