Rohtak’s PGIMS Gets Boost: New Paediatric Pulmonology & ICU Inaugurated

Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor, Dr HK Aggarwal, formally opened a new Department of Paediatric Pulmonology and Critical Care, along with a state-of-the-art ICU for the Department of Medicine at PGIMS, Rohtak, on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of key figures including PGIMS Director Dr SK Singhal and Medical Superintendent Dr Kundan Mittal. Dr Aggarwal lauded the expansion as a significant step forward for the institute.

This development is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services for children with respiratory illnesses in the region, addressing a critical gap in paediatric care. The new ICU will also bolster the institute’s capacity to manage critically ill adult patients.

The expansion signifies a commitment to improved healthcare infrastructure and specialized care in Haryana, benefiting countless patients and their families. This upgrade is a crucial step towards providing world-class medical facilities within the state.
