Punjab to Boost Special Needs Education: 3,600 Educators on the Way
Punjab is set to significantly bolster its special education infrastructure. The state cabinet has approved the recruitment of 3,600 special educators for government schools. This move aims to address the critical shortage of trained professionals catering to students with special needs.
Currently, only 386 contract-based special educators serve the state’s large student population requiring specialized assistance. The new appointments will fill existing vacant teacher positions, strengthening the educational system.
