Sukhu Orders Probe into Una Bamboo Factory, Ushers in HP Forest Sector Reforms

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has ordered a thorough investigation into a bamboo processing factory in Una district. The directive follows concerns regarding the factory’s operations.

The Chief Minister also instructed officials to modernize timber godowns across the state. This includes mandatory CCTV installation to enhance security and transparency.

Further, Mr. Sukhu emphasized the integration of national transit passes for seamless transportation of timber. This move aims to streamline logistics and curb illegal activities.

The Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation (HPSFDC) recently reported robust sales and profits for both the 2024-25 and 2023-24 financial years.
