MDU V-C Cracks Whip: Attendance, Punctuality Top Agenda
Maharishi Dayanand University’s Vice-Chancellor, Rajbir Singh, has underscored the importance of strict adherence to attendance rules for students and punctuality for faculty. This was a key takeaway from his recent review of university operations.
The review covered several crucial aspects, including the implementation of the New Education Policy (NEP). Student discipline and the effectiveness of induction programs were also thoroughly examined.
Induction programs for both undergraduate and postgraduate students are slated for July and August. The university aims to complete all teacher promotions by August 15th, while recruitment drives are currently underway.
This renewed focus on discipline and timely implementation of academic processes is expected to significantly enhance the overall quality of education at MDU and better prepare students for the competitive job market. The timely completion of promotions and recruitment will ensure a robust teaching staff, crucial for effective NEP implementation.
