Panchkula Sees Double Arrest; Mohali Pharmacy Gutted by Fire

Panchkula police on July 8, 2025, made two significant arrests. A 24-year-old man was apprehended for allegedly sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl.

Separately, police also arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing at a local food stall. Investigations into both cases are underway.

Meanwhile, in Mohali, a pharmacy was completely destroyed by a fire on the same day. Initial reports suggest a short circuit may have been the cause.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the fire incident. Firefighters brought the blaze under control, preventing further damage.

These incidents highlight the need for enhanced safety measures, both in terms of preventing sexual assault and ensuring fire safety standards are met across commercial establishments in the region. The timely action of the police in Panchkula is commendable, but vigilance remains crucial to curb such crimes.
