Chandigarh Cops Net 23 in Overnight Crackdown
Chandigarh Police launched “Operation Seal” on the intervening night of July 9-10, 2025, deploying a massive force to maintain law and order across the city. A total of 320 officers, supported by 50 PCR vehicles, were strategically positioned at 80 checkpoints.
The operation focused on vehicle checks and monitoring suspicious activities to pre-empt any unlawful acts. A significant number of vehicles were inspected throughout the night.
During the operation, police checked 641 vehicles. Twenty-three received challans for various traffic violations, while four vehicles were impounded.
