Jakhar Slams AAP: Sacrilege Bill a Farce, Kejriwal’s Land Grab Alleged
Former Congress leader Sunil Jakhar today launched a scathing attack on the AAP government in Punjab, calling its recently passed anti-sacrilege bill a mere political manoeuvre. He questioned the bill’s efficacy and the government’s overall approach to law and order.
Jakhar specifically targeted the AAP government’s handling of the Bishnoi case, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding jail interviews granted to the accused. He also criticized the lack of meaningful consultation with stakeholders before the bill’s enactment.
The Congress veteran further levelled serious allegations of land grabbing, claiming that the government’s policies have disproportionately benefited associates of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He vowed to legally challenge these policies.
Jakhar also expressed his disappointment with the Congress party’s silence on these crucial issues, urging them to take a stronger stance against the alleged misdeeds of the AAP government.
This latest development adds another layer of complexity to the already volatile political landscape of Punjab, raising critical questions about governance, transparency, and accountability. The coming weeks will likely witness a heightened political battle as Jakhar’s accusations are investigated and debated.
