Vitamin D3 Boost: Fermenta Biotech Partners with NIFTEM-T

Fermenta Biotech Limited, a global leader in Vitamin D3 production, has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management – Thanjavur (NIFTEM-T). The collaboration, facilitated by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), was announced on July 11, 2025.

NIFTEM-T, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, will work alongside Fermenta on initiatives aimed at improving nutrition and food security.

This partnership promises to leverage Fermenta’s expertise in Vitamin D3 manufacturing with NIFTEM-T’s research capabilities. The collaboration is expected to yield innovative solutions for enhancing the nutritional value of food products.

The MoU marks a crucial step towards addressing Vitamin D deficiencies, a widespread concern in India. This collaboration holds immense potential to improve public health and contribute to the nation’s nutritional goals.
