Seattle Seduced by India’s Mango Majesty

The Indian Consulate in Seattle hosted a unique mango tasting event on July 11, 2025. Leading importers and select media were treated to a curated experience.

Five celebrated Indian mango varieties took centre stage: Dussehri, Chausa, Langra, Mallika, and Totapuri. The event showcased the diversity and exquisite taste of Indian mangoes.

The Consulate’s statement highlighted the event’s success in promoting Indian agricultural exports. This initiative aims to boost trade relations and strengthen economic ties between India and the US.

This successful mango diplomacy underscores the potential for expanding India’s agricultural footprint globally. The event’s impact on future trade deals and market access for Indian farmers remains to be seen, but the initial response is promising.
