Shah Slams Kerala’s Ruling Front, Vows BJP’s ‘Viksit Keralam’ Victory
Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on both the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala on Saturday, July 12, 2025. He accused both coalitions of rampant corruption, appeasement politics, and allowing anti-national elements like the Popular Front of India (PFI) to flourish.
Shah’s sharp criticism came during the inauguration of the BJP’s new state office in Thiruvananthapuram. The event also marked the launch of the party’s ambitious “Viksit Keralam” (Developed Kerala) mission.
The Home Minister asserted that only the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) could steer Kerala towards genuine development and prosperity. He expressed confidence in the BJP’s ability to win the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections.
This aggressive campaign launch signals the BJP’s intensified efforts to make inroads in the southern state. The success of the “Viksit Keralam” mission will be crucial in determining the party’s electoral prospects and its ability to challenge the established political forces in Kerala. The upcoming elections are expected to witness a fierce battle for the hearts and minds of Kerala’s electorate.
