The ambitious plan includes the beautification of 39 prominent chowks. These will feature new statues and symbolic artwork reflecting the epic’s narrative.
Two grand, Mahabharata-themed entry gates will be constructed. The existing Gita Dwar will also undergo a complete renovation.
The project envisions a total of 18 gates across the city, each representing a chapter from the Bhagavad Gita. This phased implementation will unfold over time.
This significant investment aims to boost religious tourism and further cement Kurukshetra’s position as a key pilgrimage site. The project’s completion will undoubtedly enhance the city’s cultural heritage and attract devotees and tourists alike, revitalizing the local economy.
