Headline: Drone War on Border: BSF Foils Smuggling Attempts, Seizes Heroin & Weapons
Despite heightened security measures, drone intrusions along the Indo-Pak border continue to pose a significant challenge. The Border Security Force (BSF) has reported increased vigilance and successful interceptions in recent days.
In a series of operations, the BSF neutralized four drones attempting to cross the border. These operations resulted in the seizure of a pistol, a substantial amount of contraband, and 1.15 kg of heroin.
Further recoveries from earlier incidents included a crashed drone and an additional 2.34 kg of heroin. These seizures highlight the persistent threat of cross-border smuggling via drones.
The BSF’s efforts underscore the ongoing battle against sophisticated smuggling tactics. The scale of the heroin seizures points to a worrying trend of drug trafficking across the border, demanding a comprehensive and strengthened counter-strategy to safeguard national security.
