Gurugram Battles Sanitation Crisis: Three-Day Clean-Up Blitz Launched
Gurugram Municipal Corporation (GMC) has initiated a three-day intensive cleanliness drive, commencing July 28, 2025, to tackle the city’s escalating sanitation challenges. The drive aims to significantly improve the city’s hygiene levels.
The GMC will deploy enhanced resources for waste management. This includes expanding door-to-door garbage collection services and implementing GPS tracking of waste disposal vehicles.
The plan also focuses on curbing illegal dumping of waste in public areas. Stricter monitoring and penalties will be enforced to deter such practices.
A key component of the drive is the improved management of construction and demolition (C&D) waste. Effective disposal mechanisms are being implemented.
The GMC hopes to achieve visible and lasting improvements within the three-day period. The success of this initiative will be crucial in shaping future sanitation strategies for Gurugram, impacting the health and well-being of its residents.
