CET exam: Karnal police arrest 2 in impersonation case

CET Scam: Haryana Police Net Two Impersonators

Two men, Rakesh and Bhagat Singh, were arrested in Haryana on July 28, 2025, for allegedly attempting to impersonate during the Common Eligibility Test (CET).

Rakesh had reportedly orchestrated a plan for Bhagat Singh to take the exam in his place. However, the plot unravelled.

Rakesh’s attempt to sit for the exam himself was foiled when officials detected a mismatch between his photograph and identity documents.

Both individuals are currently in judicial custody as the investigation into this CET impersonation racket continues.

This incident highlights the growing concern over examination malpractices and the need for stringent measures to ensure fair and transparent selection processes for crucial government jobs and educational opportunities. The Haryana Police’s swift action underscores the importance of proactive measures in tackling such fraudulent activities.
