Pralay’s Double Strike: DRDO Seals Success, Bolsters India’s Tactical Might

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved a significant milestone on July 29, 2025, successfully test-firing the Pralay surface-to-surface short-range ballistic missile (SRBM) for a second consecutive day.

These back-to-back tests, conducted from a test range, validated the missile’s operational parameters, including its accuracy and range of 200-500 km.

The Pralay missile is designed to significantly enhance India’s tactical capabilities, providing a potent deterrent against potential threats. Its successful testing paves the way for its integration into the Indian Armed Forces.

This achievement underscores India’s growing prowess in missile technology, further strengthening its strategic position in the region. The swift induction of Pralay is expected to bolster national security in the face of evolving geopolitical dynamics.
