MC Slaps 239 Challans in City Cleanliness Drive

The Municipal Corporation (MC) launched a special drive on July 29, 2025, focusing on waste management. The operation resulted in 205 challans for improper waste segregation and a further 34 for littering.

Officials on the ground also took the opportunity to educate citizens about the crucial difference between dry and wet waste. This included practical demonstrations and clear explanations of proper segregation techniques.

The MC has pledged to continue these enforcement drives regularly. The aim is to ensure consistent compliance with waste management bylaws and foster a cleaner urban environment for all residents.

This decisive action underscores the MC’s commitment to improving civic hygiene. The success of such initiatives hinges on sustained public participation and consistent enforcement, paving the way for a healthier and more sustainable city.
