Gurugram Choked by Rising Chain-Snatching: Police Yet to Nab Culprits

A wave of chain-snatching incidents has swept through Gurugram, leaving residents shaken and authorities scrambling for answers. Four such robberies were reported in just two days.

Victims Vikas Upveja, Sweety Gupta, and Vidhya Singh described strikingly similar attacks. All three were targeted by motorcycle-borne assailants.

Police have registered cases related to these incidents. However, despite the detailed complaints, no arrests have been made so far. This has fueled concerns about the effectiveness of law enforcement in the city.

The lack of arrests highlights a worrying trend. The audacity of these crimes, coupled with the police’s inability to apprehend the culprits, raises serious questions about public safety in Gurugram. Residents are demanding immediate action to curb this rising menace and restore confidence in the city’s security apparatus. The incident underscores the urgent need for increased police patrolling and stricter measures to deter such crimes.
