Coca-Cola Quenches Thirst of Shravan Yatris
Coca-Cola India played a significant role in ensuring the comfort of millions of pilgrims and travellers during the auspicious month of Shravan, which fell in July and August this year. The initiative focused on the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, and Jharkhand, regions known for their vibrant Shravan celebrations.
In collaboration with its bottling partners, the company strategically deployed its beverage portfolio at crucial rest stops along major pilgrimage routes. This addressed the pressing need for hydration and respite for commuters often undertaking long journeys on foot.
The initiative went beyond simply providing drinks. Coca-Cola established rest areas offering a range of amenities including comfortable seating, changing facilities with showers, misting areas, and even giant mist bottles to combat the heat.
This thoughtful approach to corporate social responsibility provided much-needed relief to countless travellers during the peak Shravan season. The initiative highlights the potential for businesses to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of communities during important religious and cultural events, setting a positive example for others to follow.
