Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal jointly paid homage to Shaheed Udham Singh in Sunam on July 31, 2025. The event served as a backdrop for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders to showcase their government’s achievements.
Mann asserted that Punjabis now enjoy a corruption-free environment under AAP’s governance. He highlighted the absence of bribery in daily life as a significant indicator of progress.
Kejriwal, meanwhile, launched a scathing attack on previous state governments, accusing them of rampant corruption and misgovernance. He cited the AAP government’s success in education reforms and the crackdown on drug networks.
The event also witnessed the inauguration of development projects worth Rs 85 crore across the region. This initiative aims to improve infrastructure and uplift the lives of Punjab’s citizens.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also participated in the tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh, adding a cross-state dimension to the commemoration.
The AAP’s coordinated show of strength and development initiatives in Punjab, coupled with the tribute to a revered freedom fighter, underscore the party’s strategy to consolidate its position ahead of future electoral challenges. The success of these projects will be crucial in shaping public perception and the party’s electoral prospects.
