Delivery Boy’s Tragic Drowning: Alcohol, Canal Claim Young Life
A 24-year-old delivery executive, Kharak Singh, lost his life in a tragic drowning incident on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He drowned in the Dhankot Canal after consuming alcohol with his nephew.
The incident occurred late on Thursday evening. Singh and his nephew were reportedly bathing in the canal when the accident happened.
A search and rescue operation was launched immediately following the incident. His body was recovered from the canal the following morning.
A post-mortem examination was conducted, and the body was subsequently handed over to his grieving family. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
This unfortunate incident underscores the dangers of alcohol consumption and highlights the need for greater awareness about water safety, particularly among young people in rural communities.
