Nuh Duo Busted: Fake ADGP Profile Lands Two in Judicial Custody

Two men, identified as Sahid and Munfaid, were arrested in Nuh, Haryana on July 31, 2025, for masterminding a sophisticated online fraud. The duo allegedly created fake social media profiles, impersonating Haryana’s ADGP Alok Mittal and a Delhi resident.

Their elaborate scheme involved defrauding unsuspecting individuals through these fabricated online identities. Police investigations revealed a meticulously planned operation.

During the arrests, law enforcement recovered crucial evidence including multiple fake SIM cards and mobile phones used in the scam.

Both Sahid and Munfaid confessed to their crimes following police interrogation. They were subsequently remanded to judicial custody after a period of police remand.

This case highlights the growing threat of cybercrime and the urgent need for heightened digital awareness among citizens. The ease with which such fraudulent profiles can be created underscores the importance of robust online security measures and vigilance.
