Walmart Grant to Empower Karnataka Farmers

Vrutti, a Bengaluru-based organisation, has secured a significant grant from the Walmart Foundation. This funding will bolster eleven Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi and Chikkaballapur districts.

The initiative aims to empower over 15,000 smallholder farmers in these regions. This support will likely improve their agricultural practices and market access.

This development is crucial for strengthening the rural economy of Karnataka. The project’s success could serve as a model for similar initiatives across the country, addressing the challenges faced by small farmers.
