Sky High Devotion: Heli-Taxi Service Launches for Manimahesh Yatra
Pilgrims embarking on the sacred Manimahesh Yatra will soon have a faster, more convenient option to reach Gaurikund. A new heli-taxi service, commencing operations from Holi, will cost Rs 4,995 per passenger for a one-way trip.
Two prominent aviation companies, Chipsan and Thumbi Aviation, have been granted permission to operate this service. The commencement of flights from Holi is contingent upon receiving the necessary clearances from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Ministry of Defence.
This new air link will supplement the existing heli-taxi service already operational from Bharmour. The initiative aims to ease the arduous journey for pilgrims, particularly the elderly and those with health concerns.
The availability of this modern transport option is expected to significantly boost pilgrim numbers to the revered Manimahesh Lake, further enriching the spiritual and economic landscape of the region. The timely launch, however, hinges on swift regulatory approvals.
