45-Day Deadline for Mohali Stormwater Drain: Minister’s Inspection Spurs Action

Punjab’s Water Supply Minister undertook a thorough inspection of the stormwater drain construction underway in Phase 11, Mohali, on August 1, 2025. His visit focused on addressing persistent rainwater accumulation plaguing the area.

The Minister expressed satisfaction with the progress made so far on the 750-meter pipeline project. He issued a firm directive for its completion within 45 days.

This crucial infrastructure project aims to alleviate waterlogging, a significant concern for residents of Low Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) houses.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has prioritized resolving waterlogging issues across Punjab, and this project is a key initiative in that effort. The timely completion will significantly improve the quality of life for many Mohali residents.
