Bengal Stonewalls Railway’s Anti-Encroachment Drive: Minister
The Railway Minister today slammed the West Bengal government for allegedly obstructing efforts to remove illegal occupants from the Park Circus railway station. The Minister highlighted significant hurdles placed in the path of the much-needed clearance operation.
This comes amidst a nationwide push to reclaim railway land from encroachment. The Minister’s statement underscores the ongoing tension between the Centre and the state government on this critical infrastructure issue.
Meanwhile, on a separate note, fast-track courts across the nation have shown remarkable progress in clearing a massive backlog of child abuse cases. Over 3.25 lakh such cases have been disposed of.
Uttar Pradesh reported the highest number of disposals, reflecting the state’s commitment to swift justice for vulnerable children. However, challenges remain in ensuring effective implementation and support for victims across all states.
The contrasting stories highlight the diverse challenges facing India – from infrastructure management to the fight against child abuse. The need for effective inter-state cooperation and robust judicial mechanisms is more critical than ever in addressing these deeply rooted societal problems.
