Anil Kapoor, GJEPC Donate ₹75 Lakh to Fight HIV/AIDS
Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor and the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) have jointly donated ₹75 lakh to the RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center. The contribution was made on July 31, 2025, at a ceremony in Mumbai.
The presentation took place during a grand event at the Jio World Convention Center, Bandra. GJEPC Chairman Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman Shounak Pareekh, and former Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar were among the dignitaries present.
RK HIV AIDS Research and Care Center was recognised as the best NGO of the year by GJEPC, citing their world’s largest free general medical camp. The cheque was handed over to Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, who expressed gratitude to Anil Kapoor and the GJEPC.
This generous donation highlights the growing commitment of Bollywood personalities and corporate bodies towards crucial social causes, particularly in the fight against HIV/AIDS in India. The funds will undoubtedly bolster the Center’s ongoing efforts to provide critical care and support to those affected.
