Cycle Thief Nabbed, 12 Bikes Recovered in Chandigarh
Chandigarh Police announced the arrest of Manoj Patel, a security guard, on August 3, 2025, for a series of bicycle thefts across the city. The arrest followed a complaint lodged by Akash, a victim of the thefts.
A total of twelve stolen bicycles were recovered during the police operation. Patel, during interrogation, confessed to the crimes.
He admitted that the proceeds from the bicycle sales were used to fund his drug habit. Police records indicate Patel has a prior criminal record.
