GMCH Nurses’ NOC Plea: Counselling Chaos Looms
Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) nurses have launched a protest, demanding the immediate release of their No Objection Certificates (NOCs). The nurses claim inordinate delays are jeopardizing their academic pursuits, particularly the upcoming counselling scheduled for August 15.
They have issued an ultimatum, demanding the NOCs be issued by August 8. Failure to comply, they warn, will result in a significant escalation of their protest.
The nurses’ grievances extend beyond the NOC issue. They are also pressing for the creation of new posts and the provision of adequate office space, long-standing demands that remain unaddressed.
This standoff threatens to disrupt services at the GMCH and highlights a wider issue of bureaucratic hurdles faced by healthcare professionals seeking advancement. The timely resolution of this matter is crucial not only for the nurses’ careers but also for the smooth functioning of the hospital, especially given the approaching counselling date.
