Jakhar Blasts AAP: Vendetta Politics or Governance Failure?
Senior Congress leader Sunil Jakhar launched a scathing attack on the AAP government in Punjab on Sunday, August 3, 2025, following a Vigilance Bureau raid on the premises of Ranjit Singh Gill, a recent BJP entrant. Jakhar termed the raid a blatant act of political vendetta.
He accused the AAP government of resorting to arm-twisting tactics, alleging they were operating like a “gang” rather than a responsible administration. The timing of the raid, he argued, was highly suspicious.
Jakhar didn’t stop at the raid. He also heavily criticised the AAP’s land pooling policy, calling it flawed and detrimental to the interests of Punjab’s farmers.
Furthermore, he questioned Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, suggesting it lacked the necessary vision and decisiveness for effective governance.
Jakhar’s strong words highlight growing concerns about political maneuvering in Punjab and raise questions about the AAP government’s commitment to fair governance. The incident underscores the need for transparent and accountable administration, especially when dealing with politically sensitive matters.
