DCRUST to Spearhead Haryana’s Water Revival Plan
The Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology (DCRUST) is set to play a pivotal role in Haryana’s ambitious water rejuvenation program. A collaboration with the Haryana Pond Authority has been announced.
The university will undertake a comprehensive survey of all completed and ongoing reservoir projects across the state. This crucial assessment will focus on ensuring quality standards are met.
DCRUST’s involvement extends beyond mere assessment. The university is exploring the possibility of establishing a dedicated research center focused on water resource management.
This initiative aligns perfectly with the Haryana Pond Authority’s ongoing efforts to revitalize polluted ponds and improve water quality across the state. The project is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026.
The success of this collaboration holds significant implications for Haryana’s agricultural sector and overall water security, potentially serving as a model for other water-stressed states.
