Jagadhri Motorcycle Thief Nabbed, Three Bikes Recovered
The Anti-Vehicle Theft Cell in Jagadhri scored a significant victory on August 3, 2025, arresting Mohammad Furkan for a series of motorcycle thefts. Three stolen motorcycles were recovered during the operation.
Investigations revealed Furkan’s plan to sell at least one of the stolen vehicles in Uttar Pradesh. This points to a potentially wider network of vehicle receivers operating across state borders.
Furkan confessed to stealing a motorcycle from Yamunanagar on July 10, 2025. He has been remanded to judicial custody pending further investigation.
The arrest highlights the persistent challenge of vehicle theft in Haryana and the crucial role of specialized police units in combating this crime. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities focusing on identifying any accomplices and disrupting the potential interstate trafficking ring.
