GMCH Nurses’ NOC Standoff: Counselling Chaos Looms
Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) nurses have launched a protest, demanding the immediate release of their No-Objection Certificates (NOCs). The nurses claim inordinate delays are jeopardizing their academic pursuits, especially with the August 15 counselling deadline fast approaching.
They have issued an ultimatum, demanding the NOCs be issued by August 8. Failure to comply, they warn, will result in a significant escalation of their protest.
The nurses’ grievances extend beyond the NOC issue. They are also pressing for the creation of new posts and the provision of adequate office space, long-standing demands that remain unaddressed.
This standoff threatens to disrupt the academic progress of several nurses and casts a shadow over the upcoming counselling process. The timely resolution of these issues is crucial to ensure smooth functioning of the hospital and avoid further disruptions to healthcare services.
