The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has given the green light to a massive Rs 67,000 crore defence procurement plan. The approvals span across all three services – Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Key acquisitions include additional BrahMos supersonic cruise missile launchers. This significantly enhances India’s strike capabilities.

The plan also encompasses advanced radar systems and state-of-the-art air defence systems. These are crucial for bolstering national security.

Furthermore, the DAC has approved the procurement of a substantial number of armed drones. These will provide a decisive edge in modern warfare.

Upgrades to existing defence platforms are also included in the package. This ensures the continued operational readiness of our forces.

The procurement also covers surveillance and combat drones. These will enhance intelligence gathering and battlefield dominance.

This significant investment underscores India’s commitment to modernising its armed forces. It reflects a proactive approach to safeguarding national interests in a rapidly evolving geopolitical landscape. The enhanced capabilities will undoubtedly strengthen India’s deterrence posture and regional influence.
