Adani Power Bags Massive Bihar Power Deal: 2,274 MW Supply Secured
Adani Power Limited has secured a significant contract to supply electricity to Bihar. The company received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from the Bihar State Power Generation Company (BSPGCL) on August 7, 2025.
This LoI paves the way for Adani Power to supply 2,274 MW of power to the North and South Bihar Power Distribution Companies (NBPDCL and SBPDCL).
The power will be sourced from Adani’s 2,400 MW thermal power project. This marks a substantial addition to Bihar’s power infrastructure.
This development is expected to significantly boost electricity supply in Bihar, addressing the state’s growing energy demands and potentially driving economic growth in the region. The deal underscores Adani Power’s expanding footprint in the Indian power sector.
