High Court Extends Legal Aid to Veer Parivar: Clinics Open in Himachal
The Himachal Pradesh High Court has taken a significant step towards supporting the families of defence personnel. On August 8, 2025, it inaugurated Legal Services Clinics in Shimla, Kullu, and Lahaul-Spiti districts.
These clinics operate under the NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana, a national initiative providing free legal aid. The focus is on ensuring easily accessible legal assistance to ex-servicemen and their families.
The services offered include advice and support on various legal matters, particularly concerning pension entitlements and property disputes. This initiative is expected to significantly improve access to justice for a deserving segment of society.
The timely intervention by the High Court offers much-needed support to our brave soldiers and their families, often grappling with complex legal issues post-retirement. This move underscores the judiciary’s commitment to serving the nation’s protectors.
